Sob and sob and sob until you’ve run out of bodily fluids, for EastEnders star Danny Dyer is GETTING MARRIED.
Yep, the Mick Carter actor is engaged to his long-term girlfriend Joanne Mas after she popped the question on Valentine’s Day.
The couple have actually been together for years, having met when they were 14, and have three children together – 18-year-old daughter Dani, who is also an actor, Sunnie, seven and 15-month-old son Arty.
Speaking to Hello! magazine about the happy news, Danny said it was completely unexpected.
“It was a complete bolt out of the blue but I'm so glad she did it because I don't think I could have taken the rejection. I love the fact Jo proposed,” he said.
“I never wanted to get married when the children were babies because I wanted to let my hair down and enjoy the day.”
But, he added, now that they’ve completed their family, “the time is right” for them to settle down.
Awkwardly, Danny hasn’t always been faithful to Joanne – there was even speculation earlier this year that the pair were on the brink of splitting, after Danny was found to be staying in a hotel for his work commitments instead of coming home.
But the 37-year-old says he promises never to stray again, saying he “thought the grass was greener, but the grass was horrible and I don’t ever want to go there again”.
