Dapper Laughs could be headed for Celebrity Big Brother. How grim.

The Celebrity Big Brother rumour mill is a-churnin’ again, reminding us that our lives are basically one big Groundhog Day of CBB, X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, on a loop until we pop our clogs.

Depressing, but in a good way. Because we love all the rumours and speculation.

Today’s rather controversial goss is that “comedian” Dapper Laughs might be headed into the house. We’re not sure we like this so much.

You know, he’s the guy who said some VERY offensive stuff about rape and then went on Newsnight in a sombre polo neck to apologise to Emily Maitlis (she ripped him apart, it was great).

The Sun reports that Dapper, real name Daniel O’Reilly, wants to go into the CBB house to relaunch his ailing career. You know, the one that he killed off, then launched again after the rape jokes.

An insider said: "Daniel has held talks with bosses about joining Big Brother in the summer.

"Producers think he would be a big character and it would be good for him to reveal his true self after all the controversy."

In case you’re wondering, the “joke” was that a girl in the audience at one of Dapper’s gigs was “dying for a rape”.

Dapper, please stop confusing us with all these career relaunches. We didn’t like you in the first place but please can you make a decisive decision? The best one being disappear forever and DON’T go on CBB, obviously.
