Dapper Laughs has gone forever after he was bombarded with complaints from television viewers.

The comedian, real name Daniel O’Reilly, performed as the controversial character but he was seen to glorify misogyny prompting ITV2 to axe his series Dapper Laughs: On The Pull.

His live tour was also cancelled after he told a woman she was “gagging for a rape” during a show.

But now Dapper has decided to kill off his offensive routine completely after realising he’s gone too far.

Speaking on Newsnight, he said: “It was a type of comedy that I should not have been doing.

“I am not going to do what maybe other comedians would do and stand behind it and say ‘if you do not like it then switch it off’. I do not agree with it. It was a shame that it went so far...

“Dapper Laughs is gone.”

The supposed funnyman rose to fame online after posting videos on Vine which saw him shouting crude remarks at women and offering “lad advice on romancing the ladies and being a geeza”.
