Let's face it, most of us were (or are) a little bit embarrassed by our parents at some point. But when your dad is one of the most iconic footballers in the world does it still count?
According to David Beckham his eldest son, Brooklyn, is in fact embarrassed by his father. So much so Brooklyn makes his dad drop him around the corner from school to avoid his classmates seeing them together. Oh we've all been there. Well, our dads never posed half naked in their underwear for the whole world to see, but we sympathise with you B.
As the teen approaches his 16th birthday David told ITV’s Good Morning Britain that his son was likely to celebrate with his friends separately.
The 39-year-old said: "He’s at the age now where he does not want me to drop him off outside school. He does not want too much affection but, yes, I still kiss him.

"He said ‘Can you drop me round the corner?’ ... As he was walking in to school, I wound down the window and shouted ‘I love you’ to him. He was not happy but it made him smile a few days later." Cringe David, we can picture the scene outside the school gates now: flashy car, that sparkly Beckham smile.
Speaking on Brooklyn's 16th plans, David added: "I think he wants to go for a dinner with his friends and he’ll have a separate dinner with his family because he’s at the age now when he doesn’t want me to drop him outside the school and things like that - which I definitely do anyway!"
David admits his kids are like any other kids and even try and get out of going to school.
'"Without a doubt, my children from time to time do get ‘sore throats’ in the morning, especially when there is certain things happening at school or their dad is going to play some game.
"They definitely try to get out of school. My son was playing football yesterday and he hurt his neck and the physio came over to me and she said, ‘he’s fine but his first question was “do I have to go to school tomorrow?”’ - cheeky scamps.
We can't imagine what it would be like to have DB as a dad: cool clothes, high-end celebrity friends coming over to the house, driving around in flashy cars and eating flashy food...
