It’s not the first time we have heard that little Harper Beckham is into footy. Her glamorous mum Victoria previously said hearing her daughter crush on the sport so hard was “like a dagger through the heart.” Well, if what her dad has recently said is anything to go by, that love for football doesn’t appear to have waned…

In his BBC documentary called David Beckham: For the Love of the Game, David revealed he faced a big challenge from his designer wife when it comes to schooling his little girl in the art of football.

“I think having three boys who do want to play football she wants to be able to have one of our children who wants to go and do stuff with her like ballet or tap or at the moment Harper plays tennis.”

He admitted that while Vic would be happy for Harper to play football, like her brothers, she’d really like her to be into more girly activities…

“Victoria would be happy with whatever any of the kids go into. Even if Harper does go and play football she will support her. But Victoria has had 16 years of sitting on cold Sunday morning sidelines watching the boys. She would like to sit indoors and watch Harper play tennis or ballet or tap.”

The documentary shows hunky Becks travelling the world with Unicef to play football with children on seven different continents. The star spoke about how his children are keen to join their dad on one of his charity trips.

“Every time I go on a field trip I sit down with them after and discuss every single detail. My kids have been asking to come with me on these trips for years. At some point they will. Obviously their priority is their schooling but they are interested in these trips. My children already understand how lucky they are to have the life they have.”

Adorable, right?
