All in a week's work on Instagram for David Beckham: turned 40, reached a million followers in 24 hours of joining the social platform and had a brass band play for him in Mexico. Bosh, done.

Last night the former England captain enjoyed dinner out in Mexico City, just six days after celebrating his 40th birthday with close friends and family members at the five-star Amanjena resort in Marrakech, Morocco.

Becks shared a black and white snap in which he appears to be heralded by a small brass band while sitting in a local restaurant - with a hUGE grin on his face.

The dad-of-four captioned his Instagram snap: "Dinner in Mexico City."

But as his son Brooklyn Beckham tweeted - the birthday fun seems to be over - and the family are back in rainy London...

Despite being back in London, David had a great birthday week with his family and closest friends.

He celebrated in style with his wife, Victoria Beckham, who were also joined by Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, among other friends of David's.

They all flew out for his big 4-0 and Vic even posted a lot of Instagram pictures to share her joy with the world.

One picture she posted was captioned by the former Spice Girl: "So excited to be spending this special day with David and the kids in Marrakech! Welcome to Instagram @DavidBeckham! x vb #DB40."
