Noooooo. Is David Gandy quitting modelling to let younger models take over?

Terrible news for anyone who enjoys ogling David Gandy in his pants - the male model has revealed he is getting ready to QUIT modelling, so "fitter" models can have a chance.

Erm, Dave, we hate to break it to you, but there are v. few models fitter than you - have you SEEN yourself in those nudey pants pics?

Gandy revealed to Alan Carr on tonight's *Chatty Man *that he wants to "slowly fade" from modelling into designing for M&S, as he's getting too old.

"It's been 14 years now I have been doing it," he said.

"Yes I will be fading, I don't do as much now. I have the designing side which I will continue and I think I will slowly fade from maybe modelling my own stuff to bringing in young British models to give them a chance, like I had a chance at the end of the day."

He continued:

"And to be honest there are so many good looking guys that deserve a chance. They are so talented. I went to my agency Select recently and the guys in there are astoundingly good looking, they are young and they are bigger than me and fitter and everything else."

Don't be so down on yourself Dave - we think you're fit still!

So what will David do post-modelling? He's got his "charities and writing" as well as designing - and he also wants to go into TV and movies. But he turned down one of the biggest film roles of the year - playing Christian Grey in* 50 Shades*.

"I was approached to talke to the producers and directors...it took a good actor to be in that role. It was not the right film and not the right time for me," he added.

To be fair, we don't think the BIGGEST FILM FRANCHISE IN THE WORLD would be a good testing ground for your acting skills - but we can't wait to see whether Gandy really does make it on to the big screen!
