David Walliams has spoken about his love/hate relationship with his Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon Cowell.
Talking ahead of* BGT’s* return to our screens on Saturday, David said: "When I don't see Simon I do miss him, and then as soon as I am with him I remember how annoying he is."
David also took great pleasure reminding everyone that he’d beaten Simon at the National TV Award in the Best TV Judge category.
He said: "I was thrilled to be voted Best TV Judge. The irony for me is that being a judge is one of the things I do - I act, do comedy, write books. Whereas with Simon, it's actually all he does.
"He actually has two shows on TV where he's a judge, but even then he couldn't beat me, and he wasn't happy about it! He said to me that he was going to ask for a recount of the votes."
He added: "It wasn't so much winning, it was the fact I beat him that really made me happy.
"He's got ten million Twitter followers but he still couldn't get them to vote for him, so what does that say? That they follow him just out of ghoulish fascination. It's great that people voted for me but I can't say why."
Britain's Got Talent returns on Saturday (11 April) at 8pm on ITV.
