Dec Donnelly is reportedly set to present the final of Saturday Night Takeaway without Ant McPartlin, following the announcement that Ant has taken a break from TV commitments after his 'drink driving' arrest on Sunday.

ITV announced yesterday that this week's episode of the show has been cancelled, but Dec is reportedly going to return without Ant to present the final episode on April 7.

Good Morning Britain's senior news correspondent Jonathan Swain made the claim on this morning's show, saying: “The final episode was due to be live from Orlando, Florida with a planeload of competition winners.

"Well Dec will now be hosting that without his long-term best friend and presenting partner.”

ITV said in a statement yesterday: "TV has taken a joint decision with Ant and Dec’s team not to broadcast Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend.

"We will be reviewing options for the last two episodes of the series (March 31 and April 7) which would not feature Ant who is taking time off to seek treatment. We very much hope that he gets the help that he needs."

Ant was arrested at 4pm on Sunday after his involvement in a collision with two cars while driving in Richmond, south London. He then failed a breathalyser test.

And onlooker told The Sun: "Ant looked in a right state and was acting argumentatively toward a policewoman.

"I couldn't believe it when I saw who it was.

"The woman was trying to arrest him and get him in the police car but he clearly wasn't having it.

"He was not making it easy for her and he seemed to be trying to wriggle out of her clutches. He was not in a good way."
