As if Declan Donnelly – aka Dec off Ant and Dec – couldn’t be happier right now, he’s just had his brand new marriage to Ali Astall given the papal seal of approval.
Dec and Ali, who got married on Saturday, have had their union blessed by none other than Pope Francis, who’s kind of a big deal by all accounts.
Yep, one of the happy couple’s wedding presents was a framed certificate from the Vatican with a printed message from the Pontiff.
If that wasn’t enough, Dec’s best man Ant McPartlin also managed to bag a personalised message from Prince Charles and Camilla.

Dec’s elder brother, Father Dermott Donnelly, oversaw the ceremony, which took place at St Michael's Church in Newcastle.
Dec even kept his fans updated throughout the day, tweeting in the morning:

Dec and Ali have been dating since 2013 but have known each other for years – she’s been his agent for over a decade.
