The second half of Britain's most beloved TV duo, Declan Donnelly, is engaged after popping the question to long-term girlfriend Ali Astall ahead of Sunday's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2014 launch.

Ant and Dec are currently in Australia filming for their ITV show, which is where Dec is thought to have proposed to Ali.

According to the Mirror, Dec asked Ali to marry him over the weekend – and she said yes!

The pair have been together for 18 months but have known each other for far longer than that, as Ali was both Ant and Dec's talent manager for more than ten years.

An insider told the newspaper: "Dec and Ali are completely besotted with each other.

"They have been best friends for a long time. Dec soon realised that the he'd met the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and felt ready to settle down."

According to the source, Dec, who's 39 and Ali, who's 35, want to get married next year and start a family as soon as possible.

"Friends and family are delighted and see that they're taking the next step as they're perfect for each other."

There's been no official word from Ant and Dec's camp yet, but Dec has always been open about the fact he'd like to get married on day, telling an interviewer earlier this year that he and Ali have "always been attracted to each other".
