"Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy."

US news outlet NBC report that a spokesperson for the star revealed that Demi was now "awake and with her family," and again warned that some of the information being reported is incorrect and requesting that Demi's family are allowed privacy.

Within minutes of the reports breaking, Demi's celeb friends and huge legion of fans began to send their messages of support on Twitter.

Demi recently released a song called 'Sober' in which she revealed that she had broken her six years sobriety from alcohol and drugs. The track, released on 21st June, includes lyrics such as, "Mama, I'm so sorry I'm not sober anymore, and daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor."

She also sings, "And I'm sorry for the fans I lost who watched me fall again, I wanna be a role model, but I'm only human."
