Last night’s NTAs were full of glitz and glam as all of our fave celebs hit the red carpet to celebrate the best of the UK’s TV talent.
Everyone looked sassy AF, Ant and Dec picked up their 41531554252 award and David Attenborough pretty much brought everyone to tears during his acceptance speech. It was just a bloody fab night all round.
However, one uninvited guest tried to cause a bit of a stir when he invaded the stage while Dermot O’Leary was hosting.
An activist attempted to run on stage during while a VT was broadcast during the live show, but ‘cause he’s a national treasure and all-round living legend, Dermot managed to deal with it in the best way.
Dermot had been presenting the nominees for the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment award and was sharing the stage with Bruce’s widow Wilnelia when an activist ran on the stage wearing a t-shirt that read: “Oppression of the ideas is not freedom like UK media thinks.”
Dermot was pictured calmly dealing with the stage invader, talking to him and calming him down before security stepped in and removed him from the stage.
WHAT. A. GUY.
In other news from the NTAs, poor Megan McKenna was forced to make an emergency exit from the event after being rushed to hospital days before.
"Megan was rushed to hospital by ambulance with a temperate of 48.9 last week - and no one knew what was wrong with her,” a source told The Sun.
She had been determined to make it to the NTAs but was taken ill again during the awards.
