Yay for Lady Mary! Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery is reportedly engaged to her financial PR beau John Dineen following a year-long romance.
The 33-year-old actress is said to be planning her "dream wedding" to her new hubby-to-be, and supposedly announced the news on the Downton Abbey set, according to The Sun.
A source told the paper:
"She looked over the moon and was showing it off to all of the cast and crew...It’s wonderful news and everyone is delighted. She and John make a lovely couple."
Michelle was rumoured to have got her ring out at the script reading, so now we have a lovely image of Hugh Bonneville and Dame Maggie Smith leaping out of their chairs with joy, popping a bottle of champers to celebrate and getting a bit squiffy on set.
What makes this story even nicer is that the pair were introduced by a Downton Abbey cast member - Allen Leech, who plays a former chaffeur Tom Branson alongside Michelle in the ITV drama.
The actress is yet to confirm the news, but if she is getting hitched, we bet Highclere Castle (the real-life Downton) would make a fab wedding venue.
