Drake has taken to Instagram to post a heartfelt message, after one of his fans who he had visited in hospital, passed away recently. Posting a photo of himself crying at her hospital bedside Drake captioned his photo...

'Gonna miss you a whole lot. We met through make a wish and we built a genuine bond you would text me and check on me while I was on tour and tell me positive things and share your dreams and goals. I am crying in this pic but it was tears of joy cause we just prayed for you with your father.'

Drake went on to apologise for missing her text on his birthday saying, 'I am sorry I missed your text on my birthday that’s eating my soul right now but you know how much I loved you and was looking forward to seeing you after tour. I don’t know why I am writing this on IG I just need to get it out cause it’s sitting heavy on my heart. Will remember you forever K!'

Drake and his fan, known as Kay, met through Make-A-Wish, which brings together thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters. As the rapper mentioned in his caption, they really connected.

This isn't the first time Drake has visited his fans in hospital. Earlier this year, he paid a visit to Sofia Sanchez, an 11-year-old girl, who was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, which causes heart failure, meaning she needed a heart transplant.

Sofia had two wishes for her birthday, one was to meet Drake and the other to get a new heart. In August this year, she received the news that she would be receiving a new heart and you can watch her emotional reaction below.
