They’ve only been dancing one week and former Labour MP and shadow chancellor, Ed Balls, has already embarrassed himself on Strictly Come Dancing and we’re not talking about his waltz - although that did leave him bottom of the table - poor Ed.
Ed’s cringe-worthy moment actually occurred during a photo-shoot for the hit dancing show. The former politician was in the middle of posing for publicity shots when he made the simple request for a fluffer. That’s right, he told staff at the shoot that he needed someone to "come and fluff him". Err, all OK there, Ed?
For those of you that can’t quite see the problem here, a fluffer is the name of someone in the adult entertainment industry hired to help the star of the show rise to the occasion, if you catch our drift.
Basically, they’re hired to give porn stars an erection. LOL.
We don’t think Ed had any clue what he was getting himself into as he apparently just wanted someone to come and remove the bits of fluff from his costume. Such an innocent request.
The ex-MP spoke at a Labour party event and explained the situation: "There was this guy that would come out who had this sort of thing to take lint off your jacket," according to The Mirror.
When the lint-remover person didn’t show, Ed simply requested the presence of said lint-remover, opting for the sophisticated moniker: 'fluffer'. "You know, the guy who comes and fluffs me?"
It seems he wasn’t aware of his blunder until the director of the shoot explained the term "refers to a man or a woman, normally a man, who plays a different role for male actors in adult movies."
Oh, Ed.
