Least-banging house party in human history played host to the moment

Ed Sheeran dedicated a song about poverty-ridden crack-addicted prostitutes to David Cameron [ominous silence in which our lawyers forbid us from making any jokes].

At a recent house party attended by both Ed and cold-blooded Lizard King Davey Cam (WHICH MUST HAVE BEEN A PRETTY SWINGING SCENE, RIGHT?), Ed dedicated his song The A Team to the wasn’t-really-voted-in-anyway PM.

Speaking at the #AmazonFrontRow Q&A yesterday (30 September), Ed sed: “I met David Cameron the other day, really randomly.

"It wasn't in that situation where you're in a meet and greet at 10 Downing Street, I was playing a gig and he came down and he was singing. It was fun, but they stopped the gig.

"I was playing this gig at some guy's house and was a very, very intimate environment, and they stopped the gig and I only had one song left. He was like, 'I'm so happy that you came here Ed. Obviously David Cameron is here, would you dedicate a song to him?' And I was like, 'Oh... I've only got The A Team left to sing'."

"Yo kids, wagwan? Hip hop."
"Yo kids, wagwan? Hip hop."

So he sang that.

“And so I dedicated The A Team to David Cameron. That was interesting."

In other news, we’re just trying to imagine the exact specifics of a party where Ed Sheeran played an acoustic set and David Cameron attends, presumably in his ‘normal people’ civvies of khakis and a zip-from-the-chest dad jumper. Exactly how weak was the punch they served? How many people volunteered to do the washing up before everyone cleared out at 11pm? Who bought the baklava?
