Professional Nice Lad™ Ed Sheeran and Cassandra-from-Doctor-Who-stretched-taut-over-a-meaty-Australian person Shane Warne are friends, apparently, with the former bowler texting Ed multiple times each day across his three mobile phones.
Speaking to Australian TV show The Project(??????), Ed revealed he’d bumped into Shane on a night out after watching a Kylie Minogue concert, and they’d become firm friends as a result.
“I have three phones and he texts all three of them,” he sang sweetly over an acoustic guitar track. “I went out with my friends from home — who are the maddest people you have ever met — and people who were more mad.
“We were out, we went to the Kylie gig and then ended up out with Shane Warne.”
He then dropped the beat and started doing a little rap to explain that the pair had been in constant contact since.
“He just texted me a selfie of himself. He’s like, ‘I haven’t slept, mate’. I really like him, he’s a hero.”
