Ed Sheeran has helped a terminally ill woman tick off the number one thing on her bucket list – watching him in concert. But Ed went one better and invited Channan Petrides and her friend backstage to spend some time with him before he went on stage at London’s Wembley Arena.
“He was so lovely and genuine, he had a great sense of humour and was really easy to get on with,” Channan told the Mirror.
“He signed my programme and we took some selfies together. He smelt amazing. A few months ago, I was so unwell I was worried if I'd ever make it to Ed Sheeran's gig, but I did and it was incredible and I also got to meet him backstage.”

After the gig, Channan – who took herself off the organ donor list so she could be well enough to make the most of her remaining time – said “My life is now complete.”
Ed posed for pictures with Channan and her friend before playing to the sold out crowd, leaving her with memories that will last forever.
