Ed Sheeran has lost THREE shirt sizes on a green juice diet

Shove over, Sam Smith

What’s going on with all our lovely boy pop stars right now? They’re disappearing, is what. First it was Sam Smith, and now it’s Ed Sheeran racing to drop the man-pounds.

Ed, who’s currently giving Vicky Pattison a run for her money in the shrinking stakes, revealed to The Sun that he’s done a green juice diet – and gone down three shirt sizes in the process.

“I’m now a small. I went from a large to a medium to a small. It’s my lifestyle. I haven’t really been healthy to my body and my body’s not liking it,” he told the paper.

“I’m not losing it because I’m eating well and going to the gym – I’ve started green juices because I’ve realised that I go to restaurants and get a steak and chips and broccoli and I’ll eat the steak and chips and leave the broccoli.

“So I said to the guy that does the food on our tour, "Can you just blend everything that I need?" And then I just down it.”

Sounds quite ingenious to us – we’re big fans of milkshakes. And guys to just sort them out for us. Although, we guess broccoli shakes aren’t really milkshakes at all. In fact, they’re quite the opposite. In which case, we might give those a miss.

An insider told the* Sunday People* that Ed and Sam are actually having a bit of a weight loss-off at the moment.

“They thought it could be fun to try and improve their fitness and decided to make a bit of a contest out of it – so the race is on to drop a stone,” the spy said.

Well, it looks like it’s working. Just don’t go TOTALLY disappearing, please, boys. Without your lovely voices to listen to we’ll have nowt left in the UK but four-fifths of One Direction.
