Ed Sheeran is taking a step back from social media after admitting he’d had enough of seeing ‘through a screen’. Ed’s just finished his incredible 179 date world tour and now, he’s taking a step back from everything.
He wrote on Instagram: “I’m taking a break from my phone, emails and all social media for a while. I’ve had an amazing ride over the last five years but I find myself seeing the world through a screen and not my eyes.”
In the post, Ed added: “I’m taking this opportunity of not having to be anywhere or do anything to travel the world. To my family and friends, if you love me you will understand. To my fans, the third album is on its way and is the best thing I have made thus far. See you all next autumn.”
Ed’s being deadly serious too. This morning he posted his last Snap Chat video, saying goodbye to his fans and now has stopped tweeting and posting to Instagram altogether. It really is the end of the online road for Ed.
We’re going to struggle to wait this long. But we can’t wait to hear his third album!
