There’s a lot going on for Ed Sheeran right now. He’s bagged himself a super hot girlfriend in the form of Nicole Scherzinger, he's covered his chest in a lion tattoo to celebrate the success of his sold-out Wembley tour, and now he’s gone and landed himself a DEGREE. Casual.
The* Drunk* singer (that’s a song title, not a dig at Ed, fyi) will receive an honorary degree from the University Campus Suffolk (UCS) for his outstanding contribution to music during a special graduation ceremony.
We’re tearing up like proud parents over here.

Commenting on the news, Ed said:
“I’ve had an amazing year with my world tour and this makes it even better. Suffolk is very much where I call home and I'm always welcomed back and get so much support.
"Receiving this recognition is a real privilege. UCS is at an exciting point in its development and I look forward to building links with UCS and its students in the months and years to come."
Ed grew up in Framlingham in Suffolk, and has stayed very connected to his hometown despite being a worldwide star and having travelled across the globe.
Last month he made a surprise appearance at Latitude Festival in Suffolk, and he taken his GF Nicole to his hometown for a bev in the pub, as well as music BFF Taylor Swift.
The date which Ed will officially receive his degree is yet to be announced, but we already can’t wait to see the Instagram pics of Ed in his gown and hat. #GraduationDay!
