Ed Sheeran takes his love of tomato ketchup to another level

Pop star Ed Sheeran has revealed just how much he LOVES tomato ketchup. Not only does he have a tattoo of a Heinz tomato ketchup label on his arm, apparently one of his assistants has to carry a bottle of the condiment at all times!

According to a national newspaper the 26-year-old singer is fed up with being caught out without ketchup at high-end restaurants. A source told the newspaper "Ed’s made no secret of his Heinz Ketchup obsession and has run out of patience with going to places that don’t serve it while he’s touring.

"He’s made it a duty of key members of his entourage to carry a bottle wherever he goes so he can have it with everything from his morning sausage butty to upmarket dinners."

Ed really loves the popular condiment and last month he even said that if he was to be made Prime Minister he would ketchup compulsory "in all places with chips".

Heinz tomato ketchup aside, Ed has been enjoying a hugely successful 12 months. Last year he dominated the charts with his album '÷', which included singles such as 'Castle On The Hill' and his most recent number 1 single, which was also the Christmas number 1, 'Perfect'.

Last month Ed also received his MBE award at Buckingham Palace. The singer was presented the award by Prince Charles and according to reports, during a conversation after receiving his award, the 'Lego House' singer said that although he hadn't been asked by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to perform on there special day he would be happy to.

Not long after receiving his MBE he also announced he would be featuring on rapper Eminem's comeback single, 'River'. Taking to Instagram Ed said, 'I've had to hold onto this secret for a long time, but since it's just been announced I can now tell you all.'
