We're not sure who won the fight...

Aw, Ed Sheeran – what a lovely man he is.

Noel Gallagher went on quite the epic rant about Ed, Ed’s genre of music and basically how awful the entire world is to NME yesterday, and Ed’s responded just now.

But if you were waiting with popcorn for an epic men-with-guitars fight, Blur and Oasis style, you’ll be disappointed.

Noel had said that he “doesn’t think [he] can live in a world” where Ed can sell out three nights at Wembley.

And Ed’s tweeted at the Independent newspaper just now:

Which is very reserved.

Wonder what Noel will have to say about that…

"When you hear that kind of polished pop and then there's a ginger guy with a f_ing guitar it seems subversive, but it's f_ing not," Noel told NME.

"It's not all over, but it'll go back to the way it was in the early 80s where indie bands are the alternative thing, the lower level.

"In the early 80s everyone at indie labels, even major labels, were trying to push this music to the fore because everything else was s***, and maybe it'll happen again, but I don't see it for the next decade."

Go on, Ed – we love a good celeb row. You know you can do better than that…
