Ed Sheeran’s been single since February after splitting with his long term girlfriend Athina Andrelos. But, that was almost four months ago and now his mates want him to get back into the dating game. But they have a cunning place. Ed's new girl has to be a normal.
“Ed doesn't want a famous girlfriend, he just wants someone down to earth and normal to share his life with,” an insider exclusively told the Mirror. “His friends are looking out for him and don't want him to be with anyone who just wants to be with him because he's famous.”
Oh, and if you thought he was getting any sympathy from them following his split with Athina, you’d be wrong.
“Ed's mates weren't too keen on Athina and weren't disappointed when they split after the Brit Awards,” the source added. “It's very unlikely they'll be getting back together.
“His friends want to set him up with a new girl and have their eye on a few people they've mentioned to him but he's very picky for obvious reasons.”
The 24-year-old’s previous squeezes include Ellie Goulding and Barbara Palvin so we think he has got a bit of a type. But, if he’s looking for true love we think he should start broadening his horizons.
It’s rumoured Ed may be soon making a permanent move to South London so... if you lurk around in Sainsbury’s for long enough you might just see him.
