Remember that time in 2012 when everyone thought that Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe winner, Eddie Redmayne, had dumped Taylor Swift after a whirlwind romance?
No, neither do we.
But, apparently the 30-year-old actor was reported to have taken a liking to T-Swizzle after watching her audition for the role of Eponine in the Les Misérables movie he starred in.
The pair SUPPOSEDLY hung out in New York City after the audition and kept in touch, but Eddie lost interest when Taylor lost out to West End star Samantha Barks for the role.
Don’t worry if you’re confused.
It turns out this Love Story never actually happened.
Eddie just confirmed that the blink-and-you-missed it rumour was nothing more than gossip – meaning we can scribble him off the long list of Taylor’s Hollywood heartbreaks.
When questioned about the singer on the Watch What Happened Live show, Eddie was quick to tell host Andy Cohen that he "never went out on a date with Taylor Swift."
Good job, really, considering the actor started dating his now-wife (and mother of his daughter) Hannah Bagshawe at the start of that year. Awks.
Eddie had nothing but praise for Taylor, saying "she was amazing in the audition," (Awww).
Despite Tay-ddie never being a thing, Mr Redmayne hinted that he might be a bit of a fan, saying it was a "big moment" for him when they got to sing together.
That’s not to say that Taylor isn’t an admirer of the English charm though.
She went on to begin relationships with Brits Harry Styles and Calvin Harris – both off which ended pretty Swift-ly. (Ha.)
And she spent the summer cosying up to her now-ex Tom Hiddleston, in one of the most cringe-worthy flings of the year, featuring Tom’s "I <3 T.S vest" (we know, sorry, we’re trying to forget about that, too).
But, yeah, thanks for putting that rumour (that we’d all forgotten about) to bed, Ed.
