Despite enjoying a romantic trip to Switzerland and posting some VERY loved-up snaps on social media recently, Love Island 2018 couple Ellie Brown and Charlie Brake announced their split last week, with Charlie updating fans on Instagram.
After keeping completely silent on the matter, 20-year-old Ellie has now broken her silence, taking to her Instagram Story to have her say. And by the sounds of it, it was Charlie who ended their short-lived romance...
Writing a note to her fans on Instagram, Ellie said, ‘I am trying to deal with this as best and as quietly as possible but it is hard and if you really believe that you are just as cowardly as the person who said it. By no means am I saying I was the perfect girlfriend but I adored Charlie from the bottom of my heart and he knows that,’ she said. ‘I know everybody is waiting for a comment from me on this whole situation but I really just don’t know what to say....❤️'. Ellie and Charlie were both late arrivals into the Love Island villa this year. After Ellie initially expressed interest in Dr Alex, the Newcastle-born star realised she wasn't interested romantically, and started to crack on with millionaire Charlie.
The pair then seemed to be enjoying living together in London, before reports emerged that Ellie had moved out of Charlie's mansion last week.
