Good news for all Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter shippers (like us) – heat can reveal that, last week, the couple had a late night date and are seemingly getting back together.
And as much as they tried to keep it top-secret, we saw it all.
Our eye-witness says Ellie was enjoying a dinner at north London club Gilgamesh from 8.30pm with friends and family, when Dougie turned up to join her at at the end of dinner, having travelled 40 miles from V Festival in Chelmsford.
"They were all over each other as the night went on, it’s clear there’s a lot of love there and it looked like they’re back together," our spy said.
"They then went to the club next door to the restaurant Babylon, and partied until 2am being very 'smoochy'. They then left together in a car."
But it seems the pair – who split earlier this year after two years together – aren’t ready for everyone to know about their reunion yet.
"Lots of people at the restaurant wanted a picture with Dougie, but he was very coy about it and refused."
That evening, Ellie retweeted a Harold Pinter quote, "Oh, love finds a way". Then, eagle-eyed fans spotted that in a Snapchat by bandmate Harry Judd, Dougie appears to be wearing a hat from Ellie's Delirium tour.
Fans have been desperately hoping Ellie and Dougie would get back together since their split, with Ellie telling heat in March that theirs was an "unfinished story".
And they’ve continued to spent time together – recently at a the screening of Racing Extinction that Ellie was hosting.
"We love each other very much. We are best of friends," said Dougie about hanging out at Coachella festival in April, adding: "It's just both being all over the place… Just right now it’s hard."
Ellie – who has previously been linked to dancer Jackson Williams - has announced her intention to take a break from the limelight at the end of her tour next month, and while Dougie had been away in LA pursuing an acting career, he now appears to be recording more music with McFly, back in the UK.
So, with things no longer so "all over the place", maybe the couple have finally decided the time is right to rekindle their romance. Oh man, we hope so.
