Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter were out at Victoria Beckham’s store anniversary party last week, and they looked super loved-up. The pair are so into each other, quite frankly, that they’ve practically merged into one singular, lithe creature. Ain’t that lovely?
In fact, heat can confirm that they’re currently so happy that Ellie, 28, has been talking seriously about marriage and babies with Dougie, 27, to her mates. Ellie’s been gushing about how jealous she is that her friends are getting married and having babies, adding that she’s desperate to join them – but she has to wait two years first. Yep, Ellie’s ready for the whole shebang right now – so why does she have to wait?
It’s that pesky career business, you see – Ellie’s new album Delirium is about to drop on 6 November, with a 30-date European tour following from January to March 2016. It’s then widely expected that Ellie will do a world tour – pretty time-consuming, those. Katy Perry’s Prismatic world tour will be 17 months in total by the time it finishes this October, for example. It’s not just Ellie who wants to get married – a friend tells us that Dougie’s up for it, too.
“Dougie is fully into the idea of marriage,” says the insider. “They have definitely talked about weddings – all their friends think it will happen once her schedule allows. It’s a bittersweet thing with her career that she’s doing so well.”
Maybe it’s finally time to get down on one knee, eh, Doug? But you might have to make it a long engagement if you do.
