Singer Ellie Goulding has secretly announced her engagement to her boyfriend of 18 months, Caspar Jopling. The 25-year-old, who is an art dealer, sneakily took out an advert in national newspaper The Times to announce their engagement after less than two years of dating in the hope that no-one would spot it.
The advert read, 'Mr C.W.F. Jopling and Miss E.J. Goulding. The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands.'
According to the Mirror, a source close to the couple revealed that they wanted to tell their friends and family first, and thought that by taking out the advert, "people won't notice because her name is Elena," but added that Ellie is "over the moon" and she has "never felt so happy."
