Elton John and David Furnish marry and it’s NORMAL. Oh, except the Beckhams were there…

If we were to spend the day with Elton John and David Furnish it would seem like we’ve stepped onto a completely different planet.

We imagine they live in huge palaces, eat gold, drink gold and bathe in liquid gold.

So it’s rather nice of the couple to give us an insight into their world by giving us live updates of their wedding this weekend.

The singer and his partner married today, nine years after getting their civil partnership, and the whole affair actually seemed rather normal – they wed in front of a select group of friends and family and enjoyed a pleasant at the reception afterwards (as far as we know there was no one throwing up round the back of a marquee and an embarrassing uncle doing dodgy dancing in the middle of the dance floor).

Well, we say it was normal but there were people like the entire Beckham family in attendance.

Elton invited the world to his wedding earlier this week, writing on Instagram: “Please join us this Sunday @DavidFurnish and I will be posting special moments from out big day.”

And the star kept to his word, even posting a picture of the moment the couple exchanged vows.
