Emily MacDonagh revealed on Lorraine this morning that she once found a lump on her breast, and encouraged viewers to check themselves.
Opening up about her experience, she said: "I found a lump in my breast a year ago.
"I didn’t need to feel silly about going in and they dealt with it quickly and it was fine. It’s really important to check yourself."
Emily, who is married to Peter Andre, also spoke about returning to work after having baby Theo in 2016.
She said: "Now Theo is sleeping a bit more, he is like ‘Well, maybe we will’. But I am now focusing back at work. I really enjoy it, I really do."
Emily was standing in for Dr Hilary on the show, which is her first major TV gig since having Theo.
Pete took to Instagram to congratulate her last night, writing: “So proud of my Emily who will be stepping in for Dr Hilary tomorrow morning on @itvlorraine @lorrainekellysmith Tune in 😀😀�".
Fans were quick to offer their congratulations to Emily, with one writing: "Yay good for her she do well too good luck lady x".
Another added: "You have done very well Peter Andre, finally found yourself a beautiful lady with brains. You both look great and deserve all the happiness in the world. Go Dr Ems, i will be watching."
A third said they'd long expressed hope Emily would get a TV job: "When she was being interviewed by Lorraine a few months ago I thought then how lovely she was and how perfect she would be for t.v..will definitely watch ..you must be proud...brilliant."
