Earlier this week, Gaz Beadle announced that his girlfriend Emma McVey was having a baby via social media.
However, while many fans were looking to celebrate the news, others were ready to criticise: yesterday Emma was subject to cruel trolls accusing her of drinking while pregnant.
Their basis for this was a picture Emma posted a few weeks ago of her and Gaz together, with a pint and what looks like a cocktail.
But Emma and Gaz have now hit back at the claims. Emma said to the Mirror Online: "All bars sell non-alcoholic cocktails so of course it's not alcoholic!"
Meanwhile Gaz replied directly to the trolls, commenting on the photo: "Ever heard of a mocktail jesus some people are so thick".
Gaz and Emma revealed their baby news on Tuesday night via Instagram, with Gaz posting a picture with the caption: "SO SO SO excited to eventually be able to tell you all this... I AM GOING TO BE A DAD... WE ARE HAVING A BABY..
"I love kids and literally can't wait for this new adventure... argghhhh literally no words SOOOO HAPPY!!!"
Emma reposted the picture, writing: "So excited to share our news and begin our new adventure, we can't wait to meet you little one".
Gaz also announced he has decided to leave Geordie Shore to focus on his new role as a dad.
