There we were, thinking that adorable celebrity couple Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone had done a Ross and Rachel and were "on a break" - but it turns out we were wrong.
According to US mag Us Weekly, the couple really have split, and it's over for good. They're reporting that it was Emma Stone who "ended things" with her boyfriend of three years, because he was in a "dark place".
"It's finished, it's not a break", a source revealed in this week's issue of the mag. "She ended things and moved back to Los Angeles".
Apparently it was Andrew's preparation for his role in the Martin Scorsese film Silence that caused cracks in the relationship:
"He'd been in a dark place for months, getting into his role" the source continued, "He wasn't being the best partner".
Let's hope these rumours aren't true and that Emma and Andrew are on a break - we live in hope that one of the sweetest celeb couples ever might give it another shot. We're soppy like that.
