Emma Stone can do absolutely NO wrong. Not only is she just about the most jokes actress in Hollywood (sorry, Jennifer Lawrence) but her hair is always #goals and her friendship with Andrew Garfield after they were in a relationship is the ultimate schooling on break-up etiquette.

So when it came to responding to a teen who asked her to prom, the world (ahem, we) sat with baited breath wondering whether she was going to take up his proposal.
You know the one we’re talking about, right?
Jacob Staudenmaier from Arizona created a bloody AMAZING video for Emma, asking her to be his date to prom by recreating the first scene of La La Land and writing his own (pretty funny) words to Another Day of Sun.

Now Emma has revealed that she did reach out to Jacob to give him her answer.
AND WHAT WAS IT?
Erm, sadly, it was a no. But not because she wasn’t blown away by his enormous efforts, it was more of a scheduling conflict thing.
‘JACOB, thanks for making the greatest proposal I’ve ever received, I can’t tell you what an honor that was and how much I smiled through that entire beautifully orchestrated video,’ she wrote to him.
‘I'm in London working, but I hope you have the best time at prom, and I'm grateful you thought of me. THANK YOU. P.S. I do see Gosling around the eyes. Love, Emma.’
Jacob might not be getting Emma as a prom date, but he’s now gone viral AND been told he looks like one of the hottest A-listers on the planet.
