It’s that time of year again: pumpkin spice lattes are back at Starbucks, everyone at work is moaning about the cold, and people on Twitter are kicking off about the models at New York Fashion Week being too gosh-darn skinny.

Now it’s Victoria Beckham’s turn to come under fire, as commenters have slammed her for using “malnourished” women to model her Spring/Summer 2016 collection at NYFW.

After her catwalk collection was shown on Sunday, VB’s Instagram followers started criticising her for using 19-year-old Dutch model Rianne Van Rompaey when she uploaded a behind-the-scenes snap of her getting ready.

“Look another 11 year old boy dressed in girls clothing,” said one, while another hit the caps button to type: “GIRL OUT HERE LOOKIN MALNOURISHED AF GIVE HER SOME FOOD JESUS.”

A third was slightly more considered in her outpourings, telling Victoria: “I'm sorry but as much as I think your amazing and love your clothes and you as an amazing woman, please use models with a tad more meat on them.

“This girl just looks poorly and I'm sure everything would look better on a little bigger like a nice 8-10.”

Speaking ahead of her show, VB said she always listens to the critics because she wants to know how her customers are going to feel.

“I want to make them look beautiful and feel sexy and confident. That’s exciting for me, when people say, ‘I feel so great in your clothes’, I love that,” she said.

It comes after her 2010 NYFW showcase, in which she banned ALL size zero models from her runway.

Back then she deselected 12 models who were deemed “too skinny” and said everyone walking in her show had to be a size six or above.
