Exciting news – there might be a Gone Girl 2 in the pipeline!

Does that mean we get to see Ben Affleck in the shower again?

We seriously loved 2014’s Gone Girl. It’s a VERY creepy book and film – and that gross, bloody scene with Desi still makes us freak out inside.

Good thinking, then, that writer and screenwriter Gillian Flynn left the plot open-ended enough to come back to it (what IS to become of Nick and Amy Dunne?).

Gillian Flynne spoke at the BAFTA Season Tea Party (which sounds like a really fun event by the way), and said that she’d love to do Gone Girl 2 – if the same team were on board.

“There could be a sequel at some point if everyone is game to get the gang back together. It’d be really fun a few years from now.

“We’d pick it up and see what those crazy people are up to and if they got on – not well I don’t think.

“I would have to have the exact same people to do it. I would want Rosamund [Pike], Ben [Affleck] and [director] David Fincher.”

Well, makes sense – we don’t want a different person playing scary Amy – because that just wouldn’t work.

And a repeat on Ben Affleck’s shower scene wouldn’t go amiss either (oh come on, you were thinking it too).
