Things didn’t exactly go well for Jessica Wright and Ricky Rayment in the last series of The Only Way Is Essex.
Love rat Ricky was caught texting another girl and admitted to flirting behind Jess’s back, so the pair decided to split after two years together.
In the series finale last week we saw Jess’s friend and co-star Lydia Bright confront Ricky over his behaviour and she has now exclusively told heatworld that Jess dumping Ricky was the right thing to do.
She said: “I think that because of all the circumstances that happened, Jess had all the right to break up with him.
“Maybe, if that was going to happen, then it is a good thing for her. No one wants to be with somebody that’s not loyal to you.”
Ricky jetted off to America with his family after he finished filming TOWIE and Jess went to Dubai where she has been sunning herself with her parents and friends Sam and Billie Faiers.
Lydia claims Jess and Ricky are not on speaking terms while both of them are away but insists Jess is strong enough to pull through.
She said: “I’ve spoken to Jess but she’s just kind of moving forward now and enjoying herself, she’s in Dubai at the moment. She’s a strong girl.
“Ricky, I haven’t spoken to him – he went to Florida on the last day of filming and I haven’t seen him since.”
Is Jess better off without Ricky? Only time will tell…
