EXCLUSIVE: Ricky Wilson: ‘I didn’t think the Voice would be fun but Rita’s changed it’

And, according to the Coming Home star, Rita has brought some fun into the series which started filming earlier this month.

“We did some filming and it was really good fun,” Ricky told heat at last night’s Xperia Q Awards.

“Working with Rita is really good fun. She is great! She makes me laugh a lot and she makes Tom laugh even more – she’s really funny.

“Rita is so witty, I really enjoy her company – she’s making it fun for me a second time. I didn’t think it would be as fun but she’s making it fun for me.”

Rita was announced as a judge in September and Ricky thinks she’s going to be a great judge and joked with us about her filling Kylie’s tiny shoes.

And as for the competition this year, the Kaiser Chiefs lead singer admitted he thinks he’s in a pretty strong position.

“I’m really excited about what’s coming up on the show,” he added.

“I can’t give too much away but I’ve got a different team than I had from last year but I might have found my feet a little bit in this series

“I am feeling quite confident but quietly. Nobody likes a loud confident [person].”
