Steps singer and former Strictly Come Dancing finalist Faye Tozer has reportedly moved out of the home she shared with her husband of 16 years, Michael Smith.
The couple’s marriage is said to have broken down shortly before Christmas, with Faye believed to have left their South Tyneside home – where they lived with their 16-year-old son, Benjamin – in the weeks leading up to the holidays.
After celebrating Faye’s 49th birthday last November, when Michael shared a gushing post about his wife, he posted an ominous Insta Story just a few days later, saying, ‘I met you when I was not looking for you and lost when I loved you the most.’ And when approached for a comment last week, he said, ‘We’re going through some things and trying to work some stuff out. That’s all I will say.’
Faye took part in Strictly in 2018, and was partnered with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice. They seemed to easily weather the infamous curse, but now, she is said to still be living apart from Michael, 43, five months after moving out. Our source says, ‘Faye and Mick sailed through Strictly, and seemed even stronger as a couple after it. They looked really solid right up to the moment Faye left. It just seems to happened out of the blue.’
A neighbour of theirs added, ‘Faye has not been seen around here for months now, so we started to work out that she was no longer living there.
‘If the marriage is in trouble, it’s really sad as they were such a great couple.’
