Ferne McCann is reportedly set to film a visit to see her ex and daughter’s father Arthur Collins, who is in prison for his role in a nightclub acid attack that took place last year.

The filmed visit would be for the second series of her show First Time Mum, on which her pregnancy was documented in the first.

A source told heat magazine (out today): “The producers want her to talk on screen about Arthur and to be allowed to film if she visits him. They'd even like some of his family to star in the series.

"She'd prefer it to be about her life as a single mum and her beauty products, but that won't attract viewers in the same way,” our insider continued.

Ferne publicly ended their relationship and said she’d raise their daughter Sunday alone after it emerged he went on the run from police.

But it’s since been reported that she had taken Sunday to visit him in prison, something that she hit back against on social media.

She posted a statement online that read:  "In response to today's false press story about me. I am posting this so it cannot be misquoted & sets the record straight.

"There's a constant slew of false stories written about me. The story today says that I have been visiting Sunday's father in prison.

"As I have already made clear I visited him once and I have not been to see him since. I have repeatedly made clear that I have not been back to see him in response to the press asking me about this has been ignored.

"Again and for absolute clarity, I do not in anyway condone the actions that took place in Mangle in April 2017. Nobody should be faced with violence on a night out and the victims have my fullest sympathy.

"Respectfully, Ferne."
