Despite being plagued with break-up rumours, Ferne McCann recently insisted that she and fiancé Lorri Haines were very much still on.
Rumours of a split started after Ferne was spotted at her Dancing On Ice rehearsals without her engagement ring. The couple’s fraught arguments have also been a feature on their ITVBe reality show My Family & Me.
Now, heat has been told, all the speculation over her relationship has Ferne missing her former bestie Billie Faiers as a shoulder to cry on.
‘Ferne and Lorri are still together, but it’s been a tough few months, and it’s times like this that Ferne really misses Billie and her advice. Before, she would have been speaking to Billie for hours about it, and maybe gone out for a few drinks with her to try to cheer herself up, but that’s not something she can do at the moment.'
The ex-TOWIE stars have been feuding ever since voice notes were leaked of Ferne calling Billie’s sister Sam, 33, a ‘fat c**t’ in 2022. Now, two years on, the pair are showing no signs of reconciling.
We’re told the situation has been made particularly awkward by the fact that Ferne and Billie live in a similar area and have kids around the same age. Ferne’s daughter Sunday – from her relationship with ex, Arthur Collins, who is currently serving 20 years in prison for his part in an acid attack – is seven, just a year older than Billie’s six-year-old son, Arthur.
Our source says, ‘Ferne wishes they could do Christmas things together and that the kids could hang out, but Billie has made it clear that it won’t happen, so they have to avoid each other.’
Lorri, who also has seven-year-old son Noah from a previous relationship, proposed to Ferne following a whirlwind seven-month relationship in 2022. Shortly after, the couple welcomed their daughter Finty. Ferne previously revealed to heat that she and Lorri consulted an intimacy coach as their sex life had suffered following the birth of Finty.
Now, we’re told, she’s worried she’s lost Billie forever, and she will have no one to lean on if she and Lorri were to break up. The source says, ‘Ferne is trying to forge a new friendship group, but she’s scared that if she and Lorri do split, she’ll be all alone again.’
