Ferne McCann DOESN’T fancy George Shelley despite snog – huh?!

They seemed like a match made in reality television heaven – well, the jungle – but it appears Ferne McCann and George Shelley are not an item.

The twosome teased us after the recent series of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! ended by posting lots of pictures of themselves looking cosy together online.

And after flirting on the show, fans thought a romance could have sparked between the pair – but it appears not.

The Only Way Is Essex star Ferne has said that she doesn’t even fancy Union J singer George.

When asked if she was attracted to him, Ferne told Fabulous magazine: “No,” before adding: “He’s a good-looking boy and I appreciate he’s gorgeous. I just want to spend more time with him, so watch this space.

“I’m pretty certain it’s just going to be a fantastic friendship.”

Ferne and George previously admitted they had a cheeky kiss under the mistletoe before Christmas but, during a recent appearance on Loose Women, Ferne squirmed when George tried to lean in for a snog live on-air.

And there could be a reason behind their desire not to take their relationship any further – they want to be able to work together professionally and give television presenting a go.

George told the Daily Mirror: “We don’t want to ruin something. Caroline Flack says the secret of her and Olly Murs’ success is they’ve never slept together.

“If we get together would it ruin something that we could have a career in?”

Sigh...
