Empire star Gabourey Sidibe has hit back at haters after her character had sex on the E4 show.
Gabourey – who plays Becky in the show – was involved in an on-screen clinch with actor Mo McRae on the most recent episode of the show.

And afterwards a bunch of morons tried to fat-shame the 32-year-old actress. But she had the perfect response to put them back in their place.
Gabourey posted a blog for Entertainment Weekly about the abuse, which included a number of hurtful memes.
“I, a plus sized, dark-skinned woman, had a love scene on primetime television.
“I had the most fun ever filming that scene even though I was nervous. But I felt sexy and beautiful and I felt like I was doing a good job.”
Gabourey went on to say that she was proud of her work and didn’t understand how anyone could hate on love, but thankfully she’s too busy acting to check Twitter.
The steamy rooftop scene has been a hot topic since it was screened in the US, and Gabourey’s co-star Jussie Smollet, who plays Jamal, is one of many who have jumped to the actress’ defence.
“I wanted to see it, and millions of other people wanted to see it,” he told E! Online.
“I don’t know, those people don’t matter to me, to her, to anybody else.”
