Gemma Collins used to exploit her weight and gain more just to make money, she's set to tell a brand new Channel 5 programme.

The former TOWIE star will tell therapist Mandy Saligari that she was so focused on becoming famous that she would take up any job offers that came her way – even if it meant humiliating herself in the media.

"I can remember it all, them telling me you need to go over to the park in gym wear and them saying, 'we want to get some terrible shots of you but then you will get £15,000 for the pictures Gemma'," she says in the In Therapy episode.

"Looking back now I would never ever have gone down the route of the weight gain and weight loss but it was just a fast way to a quick bit of money."

Gemma, 35, opened up about the "guilt" she felt about her eating habits, which only led to more disordered dieting later in life.

"I felt guilty. I used to feel so empty," she said.

"I had this terrible feeling inside me and the more I ate, the more it went away."

Gemma went on: "Agents told me that in the celebrity world, it's love life and weight gain and loss that people are interested in."

She also opened up about the devastating miscarriage she had four-and-a-half months into pregnancy, which resulted in her giving birth alone in her house and forcing herself to go to the National Television Awards that same evening.
