Gemma Collins has quit* TOWIE* for what feels like the 907th time. Turns out it’s actually only the second time though…
After four years on The Only Way Is Essex, GC is waving goodbye to the vajazzles, bizarre arguments and offering up her candy. Well, she won’t be doing that stuff on the show anymore – there’s nothing to say she won’t carry on in real life.
Gemma, 34, told The Mirror: “I truly have had a blast on TOWIE.
“It’s been so much fun, it’s been dramatic and emotional at times but I’ve loved every minute of it.
I will really miss all the cast and crew and wish the show continued success.”
Gemma follows the likes of Mark Wright, Amy Childs, Lauren Goodger, and more recently Mario Falcone out the Sugar Hut door.
This is the second time Gemma has quit the ITV – last year she gave her notice so she could appear on* I’m A Celeb…* but soon came running back to Brentwood after she could only hack the jungle for 72 hours.
But this time she’s gone for good apparently.
A source close to Gemma said: “Filming four, five days a week just was not working out for her.
“TOWIE are in a bit of a pickle at the minute – Mario Falcone’s gone, Gemma’s leaving; there will be more jumping ship soon.
“But Gemma has had lots of offers and a lot of people want to do massive budget pilots with her.
“It’s a hectic schedule and it hasn’t been ideal. The time is definitely right to leave.”
So does this mean she’ll definitely be going in the* Celebrity Big Brother* house? Here’s hoping…
