Having cried her eyes out with her mascara streaming down her face when she panicked before her helicopter took off on the way off into the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle, Gemma Collins didn’t get off to the best of starts.
But The Only Way Is Essex star may still be hoping she gets some time to relax in the jungle after a troubled time lately – Gemma admits she can’t remember laughing in six months.
The reality star flew out to Australia to take part in the show just days after police were called to her Brentwood home where her ex-boyfriend Alex Moss allegedly beat her up, and she’s hoping some time away from home will help lift her mood.
She told Closer magazine: “I haven’t heard myself laugh in six months now, as everything has been so stressful.
“My love life is always disastrous. But hopefully I’ll walk out of the jungle in three weeks’ time with my head sorted out, my heart repaired and I’ll be three stone lighter!”
Gemma may not have done much laughing during her time in the jungle so far but she might have lost weight thanks to the basic food rations.
Nearly half the stars are living in the Celebrity Slammer and have to survive on porridge, which Gem claims will make her whole stomach FALL OUT if she sets eyes on it again.
Come on, Gem! You’re probably have to do a Bushtucker Trial soon. Surely that will cheer you up? Oh, wait…
