WONDER NO MORE! Despite there being no pictures released of George and Amal Clooney’s newborn twins yet (life really isn’t fair), Nick Clooney, George’s father, has only gone and given us an exclusive hint at what his grandchildren Alexander and Ella look like. Yay!
The twins were born in London on Tuesday morning, George’s publicist reported, 3 years after George and Amal tied the knot at the wedding to die for in Venice, 2014.
According to US Weekly, retired anchorman Nick Clooney first met the twins just 2 hours after they were born, on a Skype FaceTime call. That must have been hella cute!
Apparently, Alexander and Ella both have dark hair, taking after their mother Amal, but George’s facial features, according to George’s mother Nina Clooney. We bet they are BEAUT!
“They are gorgeous” Nick boasts, "Nina swears they have George's nose. Not both of them, one of them. The little boy looked like he had [George's] nose. His little profile." Aww.
Nick also tells us he is a fan of the chosen baby names: "I love their names Alexander and Ella" he said. SO DO WE! The twin’s names have also been praised on social media, for being unusually ‘normal’ compared to some of the more OTT celeb baby names.
In true celebrity-sphere style, a range of fellow celebs have sent their congratulations to George and Amal through social media. TV host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres tweeted: “"Welcome to the world, Ella and Alexander Clooney. Congratulations, George and Amal, or as I'm now calling you, Ocean's Four." (Can always count on Ellen for a good pun).
It’s clear Nick is over the moon about George, Amal and the birth of their twins; “she was just great” he said of Amal, "the babies are beautiful. Of course, she’s beautiful."
"They look great, and both George and Amal are doing wonderfully well. Amal is doing terrifically well," he said.
Amal’s father, Ramzi Alamuddin, also commented: “they are in great health, all is perfect” he told AFP news agaency.
Although, Nick didn’t stop there without adding in a joke about his son - "George, well his eyes were glazed, so I’m not sure that he was sober" he said of the Skype call. Well, ‘drink up George’ we say, because it’s safe to say he has A LOT to be proud of after the birth of his beautiful healthy twins, Alexander and Ella.
Thanks for all the inside info Nick, but next time, PLEASE treat us to a picture (or three).
