George Clooney’s wedding was never going to be a quiet affair, was it? And as could be expected the silver fox brought a touch, well, a great big dollop of Hollywood glamour to Venice on Saturday as he prepared to marry his lawyer fiancée Amal Alamuddin.

The actor arrived at The Aman Hotel where his friends and family had gathered to watch him say ‘I do’ as he wore a black and white tuxedo believed to be designed by Giorgio Armani.

And when you’ve got tonnes of cash flowing from your pockets there’s no need to bother doing anything in a normal fashion – the star’s best man Rande Gerber and his wife Cindy Crawford were seen arriving in a gondola which had on it George and Amal’s special motif they’d designed for their big day.

Prior to the nuptials George tried to chillax in the Italian sun with some pals which thankfully DID NOT involve wearing one of TOWIE star Bobby Norris’ schlong thongs or ball bags since he was followed by a crowd of paparazzi all day.

But the star didn’t let the attention dampen his spirits and he could be seen waving to the cameras and fans as he got ready to walk down the aisle.

Brad Pitt is set to fly in on a private jet for the big event and Matt Damon and Vogue editor Anna Wintour arrived on Friday evening for the rehearsal dinner at the city’s Cipriani Hotel.

Congrats, guys!
