Kerry Katona’s ex-husband George Kay has died aged 39

Former rugby player George Kay has reportedly died aged 39. George was married to Atomic Kitten singer, Kerry Katona from 2014-2017 and they shared a daughter, Dylan-Jorge who was born in April 2014.

It's being reported that George was pronounced dead on arrival to hospital yesterday (Saturday 7th July). No official cause of death has been released.

According to The Mirror, sources have revealed that mum-of-five Kerry is ‘heartbroken’. The source revealed, ‘Kerry was told this afternoon that George suffered an overdose and was taken to hospital, but was declared dead on arrival,’ a family friend said. ‘No one yet knows what he overdosed on or whether it was intentional or an accident. Kerry is heartbroken, he’s DJ’s dad and she loved him once.’

George and Kerry were childhood sweethearts and first met as teenagers at Padgate High School in Warrington before reuniting in their 30s. Their daughter Dylan Jorge, DJ, was born on the 4th April 2014. Kerry has four other children, Molly, Lilly-Sue, Heidi, and Max.

The couple split in 2015 but then renewed their wedding vows in 2016, before divorcing in 2017.
